More Takeuchi's for One Call Hire

One Call Hire Ltd has entered into a contract with Takeuchi to supply over three hundred 1.6 - 8.0 tonne mini excavators over the next 12 months.

The privately owned plant hire company, based in Enfield, is rapidly expanding and now operates out of 6 depots covering the midlands and south east of England with a 7th due on line in Anglia within three months. The company prides itself on running the most modern fleet of self drive machines in the industry with mini excavators and excavators having an average age of 7months over the last two years.

A Takeuchi customer since 2002 mainly with TB014 and TB145s, One Call's Financial Director, John Fitzpatrick, cites "reliability and customer demand coupled with high resale values. One Call has an early replacement policy to sell machines when they reach 12 months, high residual values on Takeuchi minis are a major factor to support on-going growth."

The contract for 300 Takeuchi machines highlights the growing demand for the popular 1.6 tonne TB016 mini alongside the 3 tonne TB125
"Utility contactors prefer the TB016 for its productivity and expanding tracks whereas the TB125 is perfect for towing with a trailer; it falls neatly within the 3500kg GVW for towing behind vans"

For One Call the eight tonne TB175 excavators have proved their worth with higher than average utilisation. Having replaced backhoes, there is a huge demand for 7-9 tonne machines, and One Call have one of the largest 7-9 tonne fleets with 124 machines in this size.
